Three ways to enjoy Soratama

Bookmark this on Hatena Bookmark

There are three ways to enjoy using Soratama. The first way is to use a “handmade Soratama kit.” This kit comes with an acrylic board with a clear ball in the center.
The acrylic board in the kit has a diameter of 70mm. It perfectly fits the lid part of “Chipstar,” a Japanese potato snack. Also the bottom part of the box perfectly fits a 67mm step-up ring. Because this box is made of paper, it can easily be cut with utility knives.

The second way is to make it by yourself. Because there is a need of cutting out holes in the acrylic board and fixing the clear ball onto it, it will be a tough work. However, the size are adjustable free. Not only you can change the size of the ball but also add more balls and take unique photos. You can also change the acrylic ball to a glass ball or even a crystal. There are various ways to enjoy Soratama if you make one yourself.

Finally, you can purchase the “Soratama 72.” The diameter of “Soratama 72” is 72mm and it works with the Soratama Extension Tube or step-up ring. The best thing about this is you do not have to handmake anything. Also, the clear ball is made of an optical glass.
